Healthy trees, clean lines,
done the right way
Healthy, balanced trees and a cleaner yard. We trim for clearance, shape the canopy, and remove deadwood the right way so your trees keep growing strong.
Care that keeps big trees an asset
Trimming and pruning is the regular care that keeps a tree healthy, balanced, and safe. That means thinning and shaping the canopy, removing deadwood before it drops on its own, reducing an overgrown crown, and cutting limbs back from your roof, gutters, and power lines.
Around Raleigh, the City of Oaks, mature shade trees are a big part of what makes a property feel established. They are also living things that keep growing toward your house every year. Good pruning is the difference between a tree that adds value and a tree that scrapes shingles, sheds limbs in every thunderstorm, and slowly declines.
Where the cut happens matters as much as what gets cut. Bad topping cuts leave a tree weak and ugly. We make proper cuts in the right places so the tree responds well and keeps its shape.

Clean Site, Every Time
We haul off the debris, rake up, and leave your yard cleaner than we found it. The job is done when you are happy.
On trimming jobs that means climbing or reaching the canopy with the right equipment, roping limbs down instead of dropping them on your landscaping, and hauling off every branch when we are done.
What affects the cost
Trimming is priced by the work in the tree, not a flat menu. The main factors:
- Size of the tree. A mature oak canopy is a much bigger day than a small ornamental.
- How much needs to come off. A light clean up is different from a full crown reduction on a neglected tree.
- What is underneath. Limbs over a roof, deck, or line have to be roped down carefully rather than dropped.
- Access. Whether we can work from open ground or have to climb and rig everything in a tight spot.
- Number of trees. Doing several trees in one visit is more efficient than one at a time.

Trimming is mostly about shape and clearance, cutting the canopy back from your roof, driveway, and lines. Pruning is about the health of the tree, removing deadwood and problem limbs with proper cuts so the tree keeps growing strong. Most jobs we do involve both.
Yes. Thinning a heavy canopy and removing dead or weakly attached limbs takes away the pieces most likely to fail in high wind. It is one of the most practical things you can do for a big tree standing near your house before storm season.
